domestication project. This project had various questions about dogs and cats that students were given to research. We had around two-ish months on this project personally i think that is a good amount of time.
What I learned this project was what signals god send when being aggressive or playful. I learned there is a chance to teach a old dog new tricks.

Question 5: How are dogs signals for play different or similar to aggression?Hypothesis: Dog’s signal for play is different than aggression
Prediction: my prediction is that dogs do show different signals when being playful than aggressive
Hypothesis 0: Dog’s signal for play is overlaps with aggression
Prediction 0: There is no observable difference between play and aggressive behaviors
Methods:Dogs communicate deeply on body language and movement like when a dog wants to play it might bow down putting its head down and its rear up. I will observe dogs at the dog park. I will watch videos of dog interactions and mark behaviors on a scale of aggression and play. (0- lying down not play…. 3-- play bows 4- ..5- active wrestling or chasing). I will see if aggressive actions occur before play interactions or vice versa.
I’ve noticed when my dog Lola gets aggressive she growls has a change in face and tone. When she gets playful she bows her front paws and wags her tail. Usually when she is wanting to play her ears perk up. Play gives your dog an opportunity to make friends, practice dog body language and get rid of some energy. Dog play can involve behaviors similar to dogs use in aggressive encounters, such as chasing and jumping on another dog, mouthing and growling. A good way to notice if your dogs being aggressive is how they interact with other dogs. Dogs use signals to show friendliness and to play. One website states that if a dog has more looser and bouncier. Also when two dogs see each other from a distance and they start sniffing for them thats can be a sign of friendliness.when dogs start to know each other. A dog can lick you when playful and bite when aggressive
